Not acceptable.
Googling “what to cook to impress a man friend” and all the replies are “keep it simple, stick to your basics,” and I’m all, “hey that sounds fantastic and encouraging” and then the ladies say “you know, basic, like eggplant parm or gougeres, potato encrusted salmon filet, saffron risotto or quick flatbread with rosemary and walnuts.” The EFF?! I want something manageable without traveling to Tibet for spices on some half-rated Discovery TV show.
Please, interwebs, help.
PS: This lady who made her hubs “chilean sea bass with a soy sake glaze and soba noodles” on their first date. I’m doomed.
